    Repairs & Maintenance

Fast, Reliable Window & Door Repairs

Draughty windows? A door that won't lock properly? Misted glass? Don't replace what can be repaired. Our experienced engineers diagnose and fix problems quickly — often on the first visit.

    Why Choose Us

    What Sets Our Service Apart

Not every problem needs a full replacement. At Next View, we offer a comprehensive repair service covering locks, hinges, handles, seals, mechanisms, and glass units. We carry a wide range of parts in our vans so most repairs can be completed on the spot. Whether it's a single broken handle or a full set of replacement sealed units, we're here to help — quickly, affordably, and without the hard sell.

    Same-Week Service

We understand that a broken window or faulty lock is urgent. That's why we aim to attend all repair calls within the same working week — faster for emergencies.

    First-Visit Fix Rate

Our engineers carry a comprehensive stock of common parts, enabling us to fix over 85% of issues on the first visit without needing a return trip.

    All Makes & Models

We repair windows and doors from all major manufacturers — not just our own installations. Whatever brand, age, or material you have, we can help.

    Honest Assessment

If a repair is more cost-effective than a replacement, we'll tell you. If replacement makes more sense long-term, we'll explain exactly why — no pressure either way.

    Competitive Pricing

Clear, upfront pricing with no hidden call-out charges. You'll know exactly what the repair will cost before we start any work.

    Emergency Security Repairs

For break-in damage, smashed glass, or locks that won't engage, we offer an emergency response service to make your home secure as quickly as possible.

    Extend Your Windows' Lifespan

A well-timed repair can add years of life to existing windows and doors, delaying the cost of full replacement until you're ready.

    Our Process

How It Works — From Enquiry to Completion

    1

    Call or Enquire

Tell us what's wrong — draughty window, stiff handle, misted glass, faulty lock — and we'll give you an idea of the likely cause and cost.

    2

    Engineer Visit

Our engineer visits your home, diagnoses the exact problem, and gives you a clear quote. Most issues are identified within minutes.

    3

    On-the-Spot Repair

If we have the parts on the van — and we usually do — we'll fix the problem there and then. No return visits, no waiting around.

    4

    Parts Order (if needed)

For less common parts or replacement sealed units, we'll order what's needed and return to complete the repair as quickly as possible.

Common Window and Door Problems We Fix

The most common problems we see are misted sealed units (condensation between the panes), draughty seals, broken or stiff handles, dropped hinges that cause doors to scrape on the floor, faulty espagnolette locking mechanisms, snapped or worn-out friction stays, broken cockspur handles on older windows, and blown hinges on heavily used back doors. We also replace letterbox flaps, spy holes, door chains, and cylinder locks. If your window or door isn't working the way it should — however small the problem — give us a call. We've seen it all, and we can almost certainly fix it.

Misted Sealed Units — Don't Replace the Whole Window

Condensation between the panes of a double-glazed unit is one of the most common window problems in the UK. It happens when the perimeter seal of the sealed unit fails, allowing moist air to enter the cavity between the panes. Once this happens, the moisture condenses on the cold inner surface of the glass and can't escape. The good news is that you almost never need to replace the entire window. If the frame is sound — and it usually is — we simply remove the failed sealed unit and replace it with a brand-new, argon-filled, A-rated unit. The job takes 30–60 minutes per window and costs a fraction of a full window replacement. Your existing frames and hardware are left completely untouched.

When Should You Repair vs Replace?

As a general rule: if the frames are in good condition and the problem is with the hardware (locks, handles, hinges) or the glass, a repair is almost always the better option. It's faster, cheaper, and avoids the disruption of a full installation. If the frames themselves are damaged — warped, cracked, rotten (in the case of timber), or discoloured beyond cleaning — then replacement may be more cost-effective in the long term. We'll always give you an honest assessment. We're not a company that pushes unnecessary replacements to inflate revenue. If a £30 handle replacement solves your problem, that's exactly what we'll recommend.
